Reminiscent of Gray Matter, Hot Snakes and of course The Peechees, "Start From Zero" is riffs, beats, catchy vocals and ENERGY. Produced by Chuck Brody (Northern State, Jennifer Lopez (FOR REAL)) and featuring art by Rick Farr, this is a record that gets you psyched for 30 minutes and then lets you get on with your life. The fourth album by Delorean brings us a more serious, sober and balanced approach to their music. The combination of 80's beats, house and trance with guitar textures close to The Police, the darkness of The Cure and the attitude of Radio 4, !!! or The Rapture results in seven mesmerizing tracks, intense and nocturne, that each day run further the pop song concept to concentrate in dancefloors. Delorean hails from Zarautz, Spain in the Basque country where they have been slowly building fans through three albums released in Spain, Germany and Japan and constant touring of Europe and Mexico. The U.S. electro underground has gotten hip to them and their 2005 12" featuring "NYC Gaps" has been getting solid club play in NY and SF for the last year. Simple Social Graces Discs continues it's explorations of all regions of Spain with the "As Time Breaks Off" 12" which features remixes from D.A.R.Y.L. and The Requesters. This is the best music you've ever heard. There are no words. How can I try to describe them. It's love and sunshine and southern europe and happiness and heartache and melodies and rythyms. It's something like this: you work all weekend on songs with your friend. You want to make fun songs but there are technical problems. In between making the songs you go to shows and drink a lot and meet new friends and talk in a different language and laugh. On your way out of town you try to finish recording the songs and you do the best you can but another band of friends has to practice, so you need to hurry. And you have time to listen to their practice for a half an hour. You have drunk about a quarter brick of wine which is the worst thing in the world. You are drunk. And you hear this music and you can't believe it. It lifts you to a new place. You record it. You leave for the airport. You listen in the taxi and you cry. Thats what Campamento Ñec Ñec sounds like. For fans of influential Spanish emo hardcore band A Room With A View.
